Co-ops, businesses by the people for the people, have been around since the late 1700s. It is one way to leverage resources and create stronger ties between the people who use products or services and the people who supply them.
Several states are supporting the cooperative model for housing, childcare and food businesses. We have listed some of the resources for researching this model and getting a co-op started.
